Too Hot

The car is running warm, 90 to 100 C. I am wondering if there is air in the coolant system or the thermostat or water pump is dead. The heater blows hot. The IC bleed circuit does not bleed (not sure if this is related, or if the IC pump is also dead).

Any ideas? How do you know if the water pump is dead?

100 C, or 212 F, is far from what is considered "too hot" and certainly nothing to worry about. My '02 runs a little over 80 on the highway and in the 90+ area in traffic.

mine's a V8 as well. It normally runs about 80C- only reaches 90C on the hottest summer days. 100 sounds high to me.

Looks like there was an air bubble. I burped the coolant hose and refilled the tank, and now it says right at 80. I think the IC pump went out, and that may have somehow gotten air in the system. Have to change that.
