At what MPH does the limiter start to cut in ?

At what MPH does the limiter start to cut in ?
I had a little run in with a tricked out BMW 1M, he floored it and I followed and stayed right on his tail. Not long and I felt my 03 stock CL600 start to surge a little, I looked down and I was going in the 135 MPH range so I slowed up.

What happen did the MPH Limiter kick in or ?

2012 S600
USA Non Amg MB all have 130 - 135 mph limiter.
USA all AMG MB have 155 mph limiter.

Gentleman's agreement with BMW.

Yes, most AMG's are electronically limited to 155 but not all.
