ABC Reservoir Overflowing

2002 CL600 was in shop for a month with engine wiring harness issues. When retrieved, ABC system low on oil and not functioning. Put in fluid. ABC pumped up fine. But when engine stops, ABC fluid is pushed out of the reservoir regardless of how much is in it. Strange. Mechanic does not know why, but says he can run a test. This mechanic previously replaced ABC pump and it worked fine for 6 months. Any clues. Flush?

Have added fluid and done ABC up, up at least 20 times. Maybe rodeo would bleed it. Will give it a shot once the engine is running properly (in shop, bad O2 sensors, possibly bad coil pack). Thanks
