Wheel size 2004 CL500

Hi all, I have a 2004 CL500. I'm looking at purchasing a 2nd set of wheels. They are 16x8 Mile Miglia. I've read a lot on this forum about the offset. The seller doesn't know anything about it. Does that apply here? or is it only for larger wheels that it matters? Any advice appreciated.

Isn't 16 smaller than stock? Why not 17s or 18s?

of course it matters on all wheels , I a m not sure what the OEM wheels on an 04 CL500 but you have caliper and suspension clearances to watch over .. start from what your stock wheels are or were , widths and offsets , then you find wheels that are close ... when you go to a smaller diameter wheels you have to make sure you clear the rotors and calipers .

yeah, you're right it's got 17's on it now. The reason I was looking at them was they have winter tires on them. It snows a lot where I live.
