CL600 2003 Security issues when temps are low

When the outside temp gets in the mid 30's, nothing responds to the remote or keyless. Yes, the batteries are new in the remotes. Once the temp is up around 40+, no problems at all. When using the hard key to enter, cannot turn off the security alarm by the normal "open button" on the remote or on the dash and the ignition will not recognize the key.
A possibly related issue...... the trunk sometimes will not pull down, but will push up on the right corner. A couple of tries and it will go the correct direction, down. A dealer has said I need a new central pump and trunk lock to correct all issues. But they are not sure. Just what I want to hear form a dealer. 2 grand later, they are still trying to figure it out? Don't think so. The pump seems to work fine..... Doors suck shut, and the trunk pump works also. Could all this be related?
Thanks for the help! can email me with any solutions or thoughts. jameshiggins@tx.rr.com
