HID replacment
Hi Everyone
Just need some clarification
I replaced the xenon bulbs on my 2003 cl 500 with OSRAM D2s 66240 4150k
They work fine, but the problem
As soon i switch-on the light It produces a Blue color output, but as it warms up it turns to yellow color, similar to a halogen lamp.
My question - Will it turn to the blue shade with passage of time , or is the color is going to stay the same yellow.
Thanks

If you wanted blue, you should have gone with a 6000k. 4150 kelvin should be a white output. Also, you should replace both at the same time so you have the same output color.

4150k is going from the light yellow spectrum to the white spectrum for color therefore I'd say they will stay that color. I would think they would be more of a white than a yellow however. Around 4300k light starts to turn more white then at 6000k it goes to blue.
The blue you see is probably only during the warming cycle until full ballast power is reached.

Yes, you are correct. It does have a yellow hue.
