aftermarket LED foglights flash but wont stay illuminated

so after almost 8 months of owning my CL without ever once cracking open an owners manual, i realized the headlight knob can be pulled out to control the foglights

i ordered some blue LED foglights with turn signals built in (haven't wired the turn signal positive yet) but after i spliced the connectors together and mounted the lights it seems the LEDs wont stay illuminated. they come on for a brief moment when you initially activate the foglights and then every ten seconds or so they will blink briefly

any suggestions as to why my fog lights are doing this? they worked fine with some aftmarket halogen bulbs (until one fell off driving one day (hasty application methods))

fog lights came with three wires, a positive turn signal, positive fog light and a negative

You need resistors so the car doesn't detect the low voltage as failed bulbs.

great advice i had no clue what it could be after checking the fuses. i read somewhere that 50 watt 6 ohm bulbs wouldbe ideal for led turn signals and running lights, my fogs have about 14 led's altogether. any advice as what rating i should be looking for for resistors? radioshack says they only have ratings up to 20 watts, so i guess ill try running two in series and see if it works lol

Subtract the voltage draw of the LED's from what voltage would come from the factory and you have the extra resistance you need.
