rear brakes and need for discs
2004 cl600. was wondering if it's necessary to change the rotors every time you change the pads. my pads are still good, but low, no brake warning message. pads and rotors replaced about 30.000 miles ago.
suggestions.

simple...
pads need to be changed more often then rotors usually dependent upon driving style, pads require change every 15k miles and discs/rotors every 25k miles. what i do know is that unless rotors are wearing thin just change the pads alone, then when it comes for rotors change u have to change pads as well. u will notice the difference the first time u step on the brakes.

Rotors only need be changed when they have worn below the specified thickness. You can find the specified thickness by looking on the hat where it is engraved.
I got 100,000 miles out of my rear rotors (as well as pads).
