250k cl
back in about 200-2001 my uncle bought a lorinser cl. he bought it from fletcher jones in newport beach california. the price was about 250k out the door. he was told that it was one of the first cl's in california.
do you guys think that it sounds right? i dont know if he was lying or telling the truth.

CL500 was about a shy of 100K. The Lorisner kits was probably under 20K. Okay, if they even had a super charger in, add another 15K.
I think whoever sold the car to your uncle was full of air. Sounded like he got riipped. And if it was me, I would definately stay away from the first one. probably full with bugs.

250K out the door?!! I have never heard a CL sold for that much before... I dont think a FULL-Brabus reached that much either.
dtkw, I had the 2000 CL500, I never had any major problems... only one of my turn-signal light fuse was broken, which was replaced at the MB serivce center at no charge. thats about it.

AMG are making such a rip-off....Okay, it might have performance and price to compete with the 575 ferrari, but at the end of the day. A Mercedes AMG is no Ferrari.
Day light robbery.
I would go with the 640bhp Brabus CL600 for £30,000 over the £80,000 list price of the CL600 and get the same duration of warrentees.guarantess etc with a better styled car. I always though of Brabus to be a "premium priced" aftermarket firm...Ha! In this case they are not.
I wonder where AMG decide to put that engine next?...I can see this engine being 'mass produced' compared to AMG standards....It wont be too long before we see the motor being used everywhere.
