2002 CL500 MERCEDES ABC PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 2002 CL500 WHICH RECENTLY STARTED SHOWING THE ABC LIGHT WHEN GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS THE CAR WOULD STILL RAISE WHEN I PRESSED THE BUTTONS ON THE DASH I CHECKED THE FLUID RESERVOIR AND NOTICED IT WAS KIND OF LOW I DROVE TO MERCEDES TO PURCHASE A QUART OF HYDRAULIC FLUID ON MY WAY TO BUY THE FLUID THE ABC WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED. I PURCHASED THE QUART AND ADDED IT TO THE SYSTEM I THEN TURNED THE CAR ON AND THE ABC WARNING STILL REMAINS AND NOW THE CAR WON'T RAISE WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTONS TO RAISE IT ALSO THE CAR ISN'T DROPPED TO THE GROUND LIKE WHEN THE SYSTEM COMPLETELY FAILS. THE MESSAGE I AM RECEIVING IS RED AND SAYS ABC BLAH BLAH BLAH DRIVE SAFELY....PLEASE HELP

Probably dead pump, not enough pressure so the system shut it self down ( all valves closed) don't run the engine, get it flat beded to a good mechanic or dealer

Pump can be replaced, it's expensive, if you run the car it can damage other ABC components

Could be something else, ABC is a complex system, get it to a good Mercedes mechanic

2002 CL500 to CL55 conversion
as others have said, the dealer can get pricey so your best bet is a independent shop that specializes in mercedes. a lot of the time the german car places that say they do all benz/ bmw/ audi/ vw etc don't have the star diagnostics system like a proper mercedes mechanic should

you want a mercedes specialist who understands not only the complexity of the abc system, but also how fragile and sensitive it is to foreign particles (aka sloppy workmanship)
