New member...questions about corrosion
Hi! I recently got an 03 W215 CL500 for a price I couldn't turn down. The problems with it are as follows:
The trunk doesn't sit flush on one side and is slightly raised.
There are various bits of corrosion from underneath the paint - is there a repair for this that doesn't involve replacing panels?
Apart from this, the card is mechanically sound and has a full MB service history.

Sounds like the corrosion you are explaining is clear coat oxidation.
You can try to buff this out with a medium grit polishing compound followed by a finer grit or seek the advice of a auto detailer.
The trunk alignment is a common problem. If you search the forums you will find many talking about it and the possible fixes they have preformed.
