2001 CL600 3rd Brake Light Fuse
2001 CL600
Hi, my 3rd brake light (LED strip) is not going on. I've tested the LED strip and it works when I manually apply power to it. There is definitely no power coming to the LED plug. The rear brake lights work fine. Could it possibly be the fuse? and where is the fuse located? I can't find anything on the fuse chart. Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks....

Mine had this issue. Ended up being a wire in the trunk that run between the trunk hinge and liner.
As the trunk open/close cycle increases the wires start to fray and break. You may want to start there and look inside the sheath. You can pinpoint the wire colors since you obviously have seen the 3rd brake light wiring.

no power, checked the line all the way to the bottom of the trunk trunk lid where it enters the body.
I've also tested the fuses on all three fuse panels and all are ok. Would there be another panel with the 3rd light fuse?
2nd problem is marker light messages are displayed although the lights are working...

Sorry, I didn't post before but yes the wire was split between where it comes out the trunk and the roll underneath. I had the break the shield to repair it. Either you have to get a new wire or you have to tape it tight so it does not get stuck when it rolls back. It was an easy job though. And thank you Adam.
