2001 CL55 or CL600?

Ok, I'm more or less new here, but here's the question...If you could purchase a 2001 CL55 or a 2001 CL600 in nearly identical condition and for the same price, and even in the same color, which would you choose and why? I know the overall basic differences, (v8 vs v12) but I need to pick the brains of those intimately familiar with the models on what the real differences are - frequency of repair, which is more costly to repair on average, and which is the better car overall. Thanks in advance from someone looking to join your ranks soon within the week.

And if it matters, one CL600 is a Brabus, and the other CL600 is a Lorinser model. Cosmetics only; no engine upgrades. Then finally the CL55. All silver...

Get the CL55. Those years the V12s were terrible for reliability. They had costly issues. As for which one is quicker, it's hard to say. I bet it would be a draw.

Thanks for the info. Were the V12's hard to work on? I'm not against turning wrenches myself, but only to a degree.

CL600 2003
Don't touch the pre 2003 V12, the oil cooler will leak and you need to dismantle the engine to fix it.

Both can be a bit pricey on repairs.
