I ran out of gas (dont laugh, picked up the car from the stealership service and had about 8 blocks of fuel left. I tried to go 10). The check engine light came on first and then it stalled. Got some gas and everything seems ok, but the light is still on. How do I reset it without having to go back to the dealer? I know some things are reset by doing full locks on the steering wheel, but that didnt seem to work for the CEL.

Thanks. My service rep (of all people) actually let me know if I disconnected the battery for several seconds and reconnect it, it would clear the code. That worked.
