Installing a DD unit ?
Hi all great forum here with a ton of information !
I used the search feature but did not find what I needed. I would like to install a Kenwood DD unit, Sirius radio etc in the 2005 CL500 I am buying and am not familiar with the Benz cars and have no audio knowledge. After reading allot it seems Benz uses fiber cables for the audio. I found a bunch of dash kits on Ebay that would allow a DD install but am looking for advice on a website that would have a harness adapter etc so I can use the existing speakers and hopefully the amp. Also is the dash deep enough to accommodate a DD unit I assume yes ?
Basically I am hoping a few of you that have done it already can point me in the right direction so I can buy all adapters, harnesses etc I need to do the job
There is a local audio shop that I used to install a DD in my pickup a few years ago but when it comes to sourcing out the proper stuff I don't trust them, I would rather have it on hand and just give them all of it and say install away.
