Lowering Links: ? On Alignment ?

I just installed adj. Lowering Links. I lowered it 1.5", from 27.5" to 26" from ground to the crown of fender in the "down" position.

2003 CL55 AMG: two ride heights

With some of the issues I read with the rear alignment, do you recommend doing a full alignment with the ride height in the "down" or "up" position?

Align in the position you drive the car the majority of the time.

I would like to drive it in the down position, so I will go after that. Thanks.. I see you have the lowering module... how do you like that setup?

Far more superior than the lowering links. People seem to forget that with lowering links, any speed above 60 mph (if I remember correctly) the car will lower automatically (10-15mm or so). With the lowering module it bypasses this allowing the car to drive at the lowered height no matter what speed where as the lowering links don't by pass this. That's why I think guys are burning their tires out faster even after alignment because of this.

Makes since. For some reason I didn't pickup on that it lowers when up to speed. I did read that euro vs US models were approx .8" taller height & that most users with adjustable links only recommend no more than 1".. Im going to go with that amount of drop first. If I get tire wear quicker than normal, the lowering module will be a must.

I was shocked when I had it aligned on how far it was out, for just that little amount of distance.

I like lowering modules, the trade off is cost vs other methods as well as pointed out above the auto lower bypass.

When I lowered mine with the lowering module, my car was on spec with the mercedes alignment specs.
