2003 CL600 ECU Tune chosen and ordered
#26
Just wanted to add to the forum>My 03 CL600 tt was throwing check engine codes for the last 2 years--I had it renntech'd and I could gradually PUSH the accelerator and run the car to about 170mph without the CHECK ENGINE light popping up--But from a dead start or whenever i PUNCHED it, CHECK ENGINE would come on with my car going into limp mode--would pull it over and restart, no problems but kept having to disconnect the neg. battery post for about 3 minutes to clear the CHECK ENGINE code--JUST discovered how important OCTANE is--My car NEEDS 93 octane on up so now I use Exxon, Shell, Chevron gas ONLY and I add a cheap bottle of octane booster with every fill up (2.97 at Oreilly's)--Now I cant get it to throw a CHECK ENGINE code and my car is a BEAST--Im running right at 120 mph in the quarter--NO time but might get it to a track soon--It pulls like a jet at take off--I am happy--even ran a Nissan 370 zx but that is NOT in the same league--the comfort and performance of a finely tuned CL600 is unmatched d/t it being a V12 twin turbo--BTW, Renntech had a holiday special a couple years ago and remapped my tranny and engine for $ 1500-SO without any engine mods--Im quite pleased--So, if u r having engine miss, loss of power, limp mode feeling like u need plugs and new coil packs, new transformer and more, just try 93 octane 1st--Also, I bought new plugs and coils packs -paid like 120 for 24 plugs and I payed $699 for each coil pack and installed my self so I saved myself a LOTTT of money plus I installed non gapable plugs --No intermittent misses while idling either--Changed my life because i was gonna dump my car for real cheap--Now, its worth at least 20k

So, NEWS FLASH>>Do NOT under any circumstance, run under 93 OCTANE gas in your cl600--It is made to performs at a higher detonation spark value than other cars--Keep the 93 and u might allay problems--
