It's no secret that the wiring harness spacer on the Mercedes 722.6xx Automatic Transmission is prone to leaks. Over time, transmission fluid will begin to find its way past the seals on the wiring harness spacer and eventually wick up the wiring harness and get into the transmission control module.

Before this failed part causes more damage than a few spots on the garage floor, replace it using ECS Tuning's Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Spacer Kit.

This kit includes the following items:
One (1) Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness Spacer
One (1) Quart Of Automatic Transmission Fluid (Meets MB Spec 236.14)
One (1) Transmission Dipstick Tube Filler Cap Lock Pin

Crissus,

Attached to this post, you will find the Pilot Bushing Replacement procedure from Mercedes-Benz.

This is a fairly simple job to tackle. The Pilot bushing is located on the front right corner of the transmission, behind a small hear shield. Once you remove this heat shield, you will see the transmission wiring harness, and the back of the pilot bushing. Twist the white part of the pilot bushing to release the wiring harness connector, and pull it out. Once this is done, you can removed the pilot bushing by unscrewing the single bolt inside of the pilot bushing (it is a 7mm if I recall correctly).

Once this bolt is unscrewed, you will need to have something to catch the transmission fluid that is going to come out when you remove the pilot bushing. It won't be a lot, but be prepared for it. The pilot bushing should come out relatively easy. Next, just insert the new pilot bushing and tighten the bolt to 3 Nm. For the rest of the procedure, just replace everything in the reverse order in which you removed it.
