Headlights

Hey guys im having a issue wit my headlights not being bright enough i have an 02 cl600 i have 8k bulbs in there now, but my lights dnt light up the road like i remember them doin before in the past has anybody experienced this before? I was gonna go to a 6k bulb. Can it be that my ballast isn't putting out enough volts? i installed hids for my high beams i want my headlights to be almost as bright as the high beams without blinding a oncoming driver any suggestions? Thnx for your help!

How do your headlight (plastic) covers look? Are they starting to haze at all ?

I think 8K light while it looks impressively bright is actually a poor choice for headlights. The very "white" light is bad in rain or fog and not even the best under ideal conditions. Don't be afraid of a lower temperature bulb, a 3.5 to 5k bulb with adequate power I think gives the best overall viewing.

agree with above, coming out my w220 the CL lights suck. I don't know what bulbs are in there but they are way to blueishwhite and don't work at all. I just don't drive it at night unless im in the city. Never thought of how much I love streetlamps until now
