W215 ABC hose replacement continued

Last week I had posted making my own ABC hoses and I wanted to report some results. I built a replacement hose using 3/8 inch Parker 721 constant pressure hose with 3/8 inch compression fittings.

While I was successful with the install of my RB2 hose; here is what I learned if I had to it again. I would use the same 3/8 inch hose, but, would use a 3/8 to 10.3mm compression end. It turns out that the 10 mm metal tubing on the W215 ABC would install quickly with no machining using that option. I had to manipulate the tubing down to 9.7 mm OD for right fit.

Also I did not take in account having to cut a little more of the ABC metal tubing than I originally calculated. This was do to the tubing not being perfectly round do to a bend. It was easily fixed by making the center metal tube longer and adding a 45 degree tube with a compression fitting.

I am driving a few days with the splash off to check for leaks before I button it up. I will post some pics of the finished hose and the parts list for others out there like me. My total cost was under $100 and the install time was under one hour. Cheers
