2001 Lorinser Edition CL600 (SOLD)
Problem with Tires on Front End

I purchased my '01 CL600 second hand. The rims are Brabus Monoblock VI 20 x 9.5 " all the way around. The tires are 255/45/20. I've driven the car for almost a year and just noticed following a tire blowout that the arm inside the wheel well was rubbing the innner top corner of the tire to the point it wore down to the cable. All it took was some extra weight and the tire ripped open, letting out the air, and bent up the rim badly by the time I knew I had a flat. Raising or lowering the car has no effect on the distance between that arm and the tire.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you resolve it?

I was told that the 255/45 series was too big for the front end, so I'm told that 245/35 is the right tire fitment.

Also - does anyone know of a way to put the tire pressure sensor trt im so this won't happen again to me????
