Steering Wheel Buttons Turning to "GOO"

Got in my CL 600 yesterday to take a ride and noticed my Steering Wheel Buttons Turning to "GOO". All the buttons on the steering wheel appear to me melting and becomeing extremely soft and gooey

WTF...........

try wiping them down with wd40.
