CL500 W215 Question

Greetings,

I own a 2003 CL500 and need your assistance. I have developed a systemic problem that I'm trying to understand so that I can get it repaired.

Whenever I attempt to start my vehicle, either by the ignition or keyless, as soon as that circuit is closed there is a voltage spike which turns the windshield wipers on and they make a couple of sweeps before shutting themselves off.

Has anyone experienced this problem and can assist with getting it fixed?

Thanks ahead of time for your feedback.

Regards,

Are you sure your wiper stalk is clicked back all the way to the completely off position and not the rain sensing position?

Many people think the rain sensing position is the off position , the wiper stalk clicks back one more time to be totally off

Clicking the wiper stalk towards the driver clicks it to the 'off' position. I will check it but I believe it is in the off position.

Thanks for the response.
