TO Buy or not? 2003 CL-55 AMG

I have a close family friend that wants to sell 2003 CL-55 AMG silver

everything works great and has 27k miles his wife drove on weekends and has maintained at dealer. body has no flaws and paint is beautiful.

I know ABC has been an issue on these cars but at such low mileage?

also anything else I should look at? I have the car on loan for a month while they are on vacation.

Thoughts on value? I'm thinking 12-14k

drives like a dream

please let me know all/any thoughts suggestions. I can check specs and fluid also pics Thank you in advance.

Abc fails regardless of mileage

That would be a good price but you have to budget for the inevitable abc work it will need . Might need work 2 weeks from now or 2 years from now but you will need abc work

Buy it! If it as clean as you say. ABC will fail eventually but it can be converted with aftermarket parts that cost a lot less.

This! If the car has the original abc pump it will say LUK on top of it. It's at the mileage the abc fluid needs to flushed and filter replaced but MB does not have a maintenance schedule for it. It's suggested, by experienced members here, to change the fluid/filter every 30k miles. Keep the fluid clean and it should be relatively trouble free for a while. It's a 12 year old car so would have the hydraulic lines inspected also. These cars love to be driven. I've taken mine all over the Midwest and southeast from Texas. Love it!!
