Power steering line burst

Power steering line burst
Interesting problem came up the other day. I was making a hard right hand turn and crossed over a dip in the intersection, for some reason the braided steel line coming off the pump burst. ABC is fine and functioning correctly (no dash war ing warnings). I drove the car home without power steering. I know the rule about not running the motor if the ABC reservoir is empty. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Right, i know its a tandem pump. Ive driven the car a couple times since then, Im waiting on the new hose to come in. ABC reservoir is still full, the car isnt sagging after sitting a couple days. I just dont understand what could have caused this.

Same pump (Dual circuit), separate reservoirs.
The question now is when the line is replaced and the PS reservoir filled, will the second low pressure circuit in the pump be operational or not.

One of my hoses blew a few months ago, we are all on borrowed time . Some may last 5 more years some may fail next week
