It's not a difficult process to refinish the rims, but it does take some time. The hardest part is getting the metallic paint to look right. I'd say it's probably impossible to get it perfect, but it's hard to pick out flaw.
-Sand em' down
-Fill in any pits with body filler
-Sand down filled portions until flush
-Clean with alcohol
-Paint with primer (2 coats, 30 minutes-2 hrs between coats, depending on humidity)
-Paint with factory silver (2 coats, 30 minutes-2 hrs between coats, depending on humidity)
-Paint with Clear coat (at least 2 coats, wait a full day after last silver coat to prevent separation)
-Polish after waiting a day to set.

This wasn't the worst one, the worst had gotten all 5 spokes chewed up, similar to yours. I did all 4.
They turned out quite well, but spend the time to make sure you sand the body filler properly, the slightest edge or bump will show.
