What will MB do with the CL?
Hi Everyone,
I was down at the dealer a couple of weeks ago and there was a CL600 & CL55 on the lot, I drove the CL55. The 600 was going for $145,000. It was dirty and the passenger seat was left up, a pretty pathetic sight. The CL65 will probably be more than the 600.
Although I love the design of these cars and they drive like a dream, the overall design, especially the interior, seems outdated.
For the same price you can buy the new Bentley Continental GT.
I'm just wondering how actual owners feel. Do you think MB should step it up a notch with their next CL or should they leave it to Maybach to take on Bentley? Is buying a CL at this point really worth it? I'm not in the market but I was just wondering how other MB enthusiasts feel about the path of the CL.

First off, you are talking about 2 diff. classes. There are many CL's out....but there are only a few hundred Bentley GT's being produced per year, and I heard the first 3 years are all sold out. The CL isnt supposed to compete with the GT. I think the styling is just fine. The Maybach meanwhile is 2 times as much as the GT and is a sedan versus a coupe....you are way off base.
