Strutmaster Front Spring Number?
I sold my 02 CL55 to a friend who was wanting to convert the ABC to a Strutmaster swap.
I knew a guy selling his Strutmaster setup off his 05 CL600 (in our forum). So I arranged this sale to help my buddy out. Well, I screwed up....
I didn't account for the front spring being able to handle the larger 600 V12 and turbos hence the front of the NA CL55 is sitting WAY too high!
My friend has tried to get the correct springs from Strutmasters but they are being completely uncooperative and will not deal with him since he did not originally buy from them (beware of that before you buy a used setup). I have no idea what the hell is going on there but they are Eibach springs and just wants to get the front end down where it needs to be. I personally wouldn't have went his route and went with Yellowspeeds but....
Does anyone know the Eibach number on these springs if you have this setup on your NA CL55?
Otherwise he has to get them cut.

there are gadgets you can buy at the auto parts store that rotate into the springs to raise them and possibly stiffen them. there cheap and easy to do. i believe just takes a ratchet hand to twist them in. i did this years ago on another car. might be worth a shot.

No he wants to lower it, not raise it
luckily there is a cheap and simple fix , just cut one coil off the strutmasters coils
many people in this forum have done it to get the ride height down where it needs to be
even the cl55 springs that strutmasters sells often sit too high and need to be cut , so you won't be happy getting a set of those anyway

When I was considering Strutmasters I had a few emails back and forth with them regarding cutting the springs. Basically they would sell me another set of springs (only) if I screwed it up too bad.
They were really decent about that, but being not good to deal with on the the used stuff.

The rear is an easy cut since its just a cylindrical coil, but the front is a cylindrical with a pigtail on the top. So that makes it more difficult, you can cut it but, but not sure how to bend the pigtail.
I been trying to find some other springs for my front since mine is too heigh also. I have strutmasters too, but its almost impossible o find.
