Boot closing issue resolved + extra tip...!

Hi

I thought i'd finally get round to fixing the common boot/trunk closing issue, the one where the corner lifts up over a time when closed.

From various posts I've managed to fix it , basically leaky hoses that attach to the pump and hydraulic ram that pulls the trunk shut loose pressure when it's closed causing the corner to lift.

Fixed with Araldite resin, just put a good amount over the joints where fluid was leaking out and now holds pressure..for now!

Anyway after doing the about a week after noticed the corner starting to lift again, great!

After checking the mechanism turned out just needed to really tighten the 3 nuts that hold the hinge and ram to the body of the car.

The nuts need to be really tight but not enough to snap them as when shut there must be loads of pressure on the hinge, so if your having the same issue after fixing the leak make sure you have tight nuts!!

All seems to be ok now 3 weeks later...
