Lock Driver's Seat Error
Hello All,
I got this error after someone forced my passenger seat closed as it was moving. DO NOT understand why it is so difficult for people to grasp "Soft close" on our doors or seats.
Anyway after reading postings in C, CLK, etc I compiled this data:
It can be:
a) rubbed through wire
b) obstruction in seat rail
c) jammed latch mechanism
Mine happened to be combination of B & C. I had a piece of something jammed on inner latch mechanism (see picture attached).
I trouble shooted (using flash light and moving cloth aside while sitting in back seat) while watching seat clasp move but not all the way up. Noticed if I took a long screw driver and moved it a fraction of inch the error went out on dash board. Looked closer and their was some obstruction in bottom. Pushed it out with screw driver...and...wallah...NO MORE Error.
Hope it helps others.
Cheers.
Mick
