Higher mileage CL600's
I just purchased a very well maintained and super clean all original 2003 CL600. Everything works as it should and the damn car is fast as hell. My car has 145,000 miles on it. The engine pulls like a demon escaping hell and idles smooth as silk. The transmission is fairly smooth but has some occasional harder then what i would imagine shifts up and down. I did a relearn for the adaptive transmission and it actually helped, however she does kick a little harder then what i am used. Not sure if this is normal for a car because of miles or normal altogether. Anyone have experience with this car having higher miles like the 150k range? You wouldnt know by looking at the car or driving it other then the occasional harder shift. Is this a sign of a trans rebuild in the future? I did by a 3 year 36k mile extended warranty for the car as i knew going into this purchase these cars are not cheap to fix. Also if there are any other higher mileage issues i should be expecting or preparing for. Thanks!!
i have a cl600 with 120k miles and a cl500 with 140k mikes
these cars last forever if you take care of common failures like abc suspension and coil packs . Most warranties don't cover those parts does yours ? I'll buy one

a good internal cleanup will do it
apart the classic things mentioned by Tusabes, you might get a shifter problem
but you can buy a second hand "virginized" one for a few hundred on ebay
use Xentry Das to copy data from old shifter, install new one, write data and done
