whats the difference
im thinkin of gettin an 01-03 CL500 or CL55 from the car auction
i currently have an 04 e320,but i kind of want an CL,
whats are the differences on those years and even up to an 04? any major exterior changes? interior? HP?

2003 CL55 AMG
2000 - 2002 CL500's were about the same.
2001 - 2002 CL55's were about the same.
In 2003, the CL class had its midlife face lift. New 'clear' headlights and fog lights were fitted. The rear lights changed slighty as well.
The sports kit on the CL500 (Standard on the CL55) changed slightly. The parktronic sensors were made flush in the rub strips as well. The mirrors hace puddle lights now as well as a clear turning indicator vs the 2000-2002 opaque indicators.
The interor was updated with a new wide screen comand and new switches.
The CL55 got the new V8 Kompressed engine (493 horsepower) vs the 2001-2002 CL55's normally aspirated V8 (362 horsepower).
The CL55 got the new AMG sport seats as well as the AMG tuned triptronic transmission with AMG leather steering wheel.
The brakes on the CL55 were changed to massive 8 piston front calipers with 4 piston rear calipers. Larger rotors were used as well.
New double spoke AMG wheels were fitted.
2003 also was the first year the new nano clear coat was used on the CL class.
The only changes for 2004 is the new DVD COMAND, the inclusion of SAT radio as an option as well as some minor other fittings such as aluminum pedals on the CL55.
