Talking Thousand mile road trip CL600

I drove from Maryland to Miami Beach last week. I learned a lot about this car. I have a 2003 CL 600 with a Presertech Stage II upgrade. Now in city driving, my fuel economy is in the toilet; its around 10-11 mpg Also at low in traffic speeds its slow to respond. I assume its from the heavy fuel dumping. Now on the highway, I get between 22- 23 mpg. Also, the 60 - 120mph time is lightning quick. In Florida the speed limit is 70mph and if you drive less than 85mph, everyone zooms by you. (Even Chevy Cruze) This car is at its highest and best used at high speeds. Now additionally on the highway, the water temperature sits at 80 degrees. In city or slower driving, it quickly runs up to 90 to 95 degrees. It doesn't take long to increase the temperature as soon as you slow down. Now that being said, it has never reached 100 degrees.

Now on my 2070 mile round trip, here are my problems. The "SRS" light came on and after refueling and turning back on the car it went off. It done that twice. Also Secondary air pump error code cause the check engine light to come on. I reset it and it came on once more and off for the rest of the trip.

LOVE THIS CAR!

Yeah I carry a cheap obd2 code reader in my car on trips to check these random errors that pop up and go away . Some can cause the car to go into limp mode and reduce power so it’s essential to be able to clear the code

Yes I do carry a scanner with this car. Quirky things just seem to unexpectedly happen with this beast. I pan on trading for a Bentley Continental GT later on this year.
