Capped off vacuum line

I noticed a vacuum line with a plug in it ty-wrapped to the engine on the passenger side rear of the engine. Could that be a vacuum line for diagnostics?
Anybody know?

not sure if you've solved this, but on the v8's there are two vacuum lines off the back of the upper intake manifold. one goes to the EGR valve, and on N/a m113 the other is usually capped off. i thnk its for testing, it will come in handy for me in case i ever need to get a intake manifold pressure reference in the future for mods

I read somewhere what it was, but forgot already. Must not have been too important at the time.

The diagram pmercury put up shows the vacuum system. Looks like number 160.

These cars are about on par with the lunar rovers in complexity and engineering. There is so much to learn.

I REPEAT
You can not repair these cars in about 50% of the case
if you don't have the BASE of software tools and Sdconnect
the car is mega-ful of modules that are and can be programmed
pm me for directions
