Power Unlock not working...any ideas?
Ok, so I have an 03 CL55 with only 25k miles on it. I while back I heard the "pop" at my drivers door locking mechanism and was without the auto closing feature on the drivers door. I soon then realized that the power unlock was not working either (doors and gas filler door). I assumed since they quite working at the same time that it was all related to the mechanism in the drivers door. I ordered a new lock mechanism and had the Mercedes dealer install it. Went to pick it up and was informed that it didn't fix any of the issues. $900 later and no fix, I did a little research and got to wondering if they maybe didn't reset the pump. So after resetting the pump, yahoo!, the auto door closer is working!...but, the power unlock is still not working. The remote works to lock the doors and the pump runs to unlock, but no action in unlocking. I removed the pump and looked it over and don't see any obvious issues - nothing is melted or anything of that nature. Has anyone else had the this issue where either lock or unlock works, but other doesn't? Does the system use the same vacuum line for both functions?...if so I would think that it isn't a vacuum leak. Any ideas?
