CL 600 Bi-Turbo
Newbie CL 600 Owner

Hi all,
I just bought a Jan 03 CL600 Bi Turbo with 9kmiles & lots of toys including AMG Kit & 19" Wheels Black on Black.

I got out of a 02 745i for this car, all I can say about this car is WOW! it is a beast to drive.

Best car I have ever owned without any doubt, now I have a few questions that you guys may be able to help me with.

1. Comfort seats - I was expecting to really notice the cold air being vented through the seats, instead I can hardly notice anything, apart from the noise of the blowers.
2. Keyless Go - do the newer cars have the chip installed in the key ? replacing the chip card. If so can I upgrade my keys to have the new keys instaed of carrying both.

Are there any hidden tricks that I should be aware of with this car ?

Thanks in advance

Congratulations

Congratulations on your purchase, I just picked up a 2004 CL600 a few weeks ago and am smitten. The combination of effortless power and luxury is intoxicating.

Regarding your cooled seats- yes they do make more noise than air. They are intended to assist with moisture evaporation but don't expect a hurricane. Your dealer should be able to answer the question about the keyless go conversion, although some people prefer your version.

If you want to put a grin on your face- at 40 mph depress your loud pedal about 2/3. After a second of getting the rush, depress it fully. Repeat as needed to cure depression and feelings of insecurity.

As stated, with the ventilated seats you won't feel the air however they do work well.

The 2003 CL class had the Key Card for Keyless Go. In 2004, Keyless go comes in the Key now.

From all I have been told, you can not replace the card with an updated key unit, however, I still have my doubts about this.
