Instrument cluster
My instrument cluster has had a complete failure.
Can I replace the one I have with any other one...or, must the part numbers match?
The problem I have is the label with the part number on has been removed.
Where is the car's mileage stored?

in miles yes ?
Then you must adapt it to your car with adaption takeover in Xentry
The mileage is in the EIS, the shifter and engine module. the cluster just sends and read back not locked on mileage
If you don't adapt it you'll get ------- as mileage in cluster

normally yes give me your vin Ill give you the list of compatible clusters

The cluster has one speed scale going to 260.
I can, using the menu, switch between mph and kph.

now tell me if you want a USA/UK cluster to replace your euro cluster
or you want to keep your Euro cluster with the KM scale to 260
USA/UK miles clusters
EURO KM cluster
or you might want a AMG cluster that scales to 360 like mine

you need to hook up your old cluster
then go in Xentry to cluster>adaptation
then adapt with takeover the old cluster coding
it will read
then tell you to replace cluster
and write to new cluster
done
