Key moved to ON while gear stick module uninstalled
Hi,
Before I bought the S500 I enjoy now, I had a C215 CL500 which I sold to a friend.
The usual "frozen stick" problem hit, ant he promptly replaced the infamous plastic piece with a shiny aluminium new one. So far so good.
In the process, he apparently chaffed some cables and a few days later there was a short in the module. My friend removed it again and fixed the circuitry. For some reason, he put the key on the "contact" position while the module was still out of the car and, according to his words, after he installed the tranny stick module the car would not start.
He thinks that, being a "theft sensitive item" maybe a code related with some "theft attempt" has been set.
Any ideas about that? How can we fix it? (I have an SD machine with Xentry)

it works or doesn't no trigger
probably wiring wrong or module dead
you can get a used one and swap the right security eeprom from your original one
then now virginizing needed and it will start
