Water in tail light help needed

Hey guys I have removed my passenger side tail light around 4 times trying to figure out why it keeps filling up with water, I have also removed the driver side tail light which is dry to compare. At first I noticed there was a cut in the gasket so I repaired it and put it back. Then I saw there was a little crack at the top so I sealed it and put it back. Some how water still finds its way inside is there anyone that has dealt with this and knows where it could be coming from? my tail light is starting to get ruined. I will post some pictures and videos for some reference.

Having the same issue, per this post here:
The taillight itself has a gasket that has failed.. only official option is a new taillight; I'm going to do more research to figure out what's going on.

There is no guarantee it's the taillight gasket, it could be from somewhere else.
These guys suggest silicone (careful when choosing that it doesn't leach acid - get electronics grade silicone):

The WIS Document for the Taillight is: AR82.10-P-4905M

I found the culprit, it's the rubber gasket around the trunk trim:

I believe the EPC Document/Diagram is:
B69045000130
Looking now, I believe the Part #'s are:
Left: 215 693 03 33 7C45
Right: 215 693 04 33 7C45

Those part #'s are for one of the parts needed, additionally 170 and 80 would be good.
The trunk has to be removed to do this... thus I don't think it's worth it. An RTV solution might be the best option.

Found the issue, legit factory flaw from Mercedes. The gasket for the tail liglht goes around but doesn't completely close:

Guess where the water got in? Stupid.

This water then crawled down into the area underneath the battery and made my trunk pump all rusted and ****ty (still working though):

My solution involves RTV and electrical tape:

In addition I cleaned the seals from the prior post with rubbing alcohol and ran a nice line of electrical tape across those (along with some RTV where it detached). Hopefully this will prevent the water from even going in, and what little does go in will hopefully be kept out by the RTV'ed and siliconed tailight gaskets.

Shame on you Mercedes, shame on you. This was an egregious ****up.

I just bought a pair of those for my cl65, and they're glued together at that seam... It's possible 20 years of weather caused the foam to shrink and pull apart at that joint.

Good to know. Hopefully this RTV solution will work.
