does anyone know how to interface an IPod with the stereo. i know about the tape adapter through the headphone jack, but was looking for a "cleaner trim" permanent solution that incoporates either the docking station or a quick cable connection. im looking for solutions on both generations of the stereo found on 00-02 and 03+ models. thanks

 

03+ models, use the AUX input which is found in the glove compartment, right side.

Belkin makes a nice 12v kit with all the wiring for the Ipod to be used with this Aux port.

 

Look for the iPOD option radio broadcaster. It broadcasts the iPOD audio signal like radio wave ; then your car radio can pick up the iPOD audio signals. I read it from a mag, but never seen or tried it.

The casstte look-alike adapter can end up as a disaster as the adjustment of the tape to head alignment is very limited, so you might get sound from one speaker only. I even bought a cassette look-alike MP3 audio player , which I can insert the whole thing into the cassette player like playback a tape.
