Cd changer and left door loudspeakers dead
Hi
My command system is sometimes restarting by him self and sometimes not working at all.
CD changer is not working properly and its giving sound with strong static hiss. Radio is working fine.
The loudspeakers in left door are dead. All other speakers are working including subwoofer.
It is obvious that i am changing cd changer, just ordered one used.
I allready checked wires in the hinges between door and body and they were fine. Checked balance, fader aso.
This is the model without amplifier, just command center unit and cd changer......
So my question is that if faulty cd changer can cut the sound to the left door?
Even, if faulty cd changer can drain the battery?
Thanks in advance....

Yes, command see the amount of cd´s in changer.
Sometimes it plays one of the cd and then starts "clipping" and the the command turns off....

It sounds like the audio stream communication between the command and the CD changer is interrupted. I'd buy a D2B loopback adapter to bypass each D2B device to check where the fault lives.

OK, thanks for advice.
I am still wondering if faulty CD cganger (or any other D2B device) can cause dead left channel or should i try tracing these fault somewhere else?

I think that the left audio dying should not be related to an D2B fault, but I don't know the specifics of the protocol.
Try to tackle a single problem before continuing to with the next one.
Is it only the front left speaker or also the rear left speaker which isn't working?

They are not "duying", both speakers are dead. Not even crackle or anything.
I double checked the wires in hinges and they are ok. Somehow I doubt that both speakers are faulty.
Somebody told me that one chanel can dissapear after battery change and that command needs restart (thake out the fuse behind command)..... I´l try that this weekend...
