The guys on the E55 forum really seem to love this tire. I have no personal experience, but this is the tire I would get for my CL600.

They're still very hard to find, but if you can get them, Goodyear GSD3's have been the best tires I've owned. They made a dramatic difference on my C32, both in wet and dry traction. Wear and noise is much better than the stock ones as well.
