Hello Team,

RE: 2001 CL600

After replacing the valve cover and intake manifold gaskets, I need to secure the manifold to the cylinder head (with the manifold gasket in between). I noticed that three cylinder head bolts are missing. Could someone please advise what size bolts are required, as well as the torque specs to tighten the cylinder head bolts? Also is there a sequence that must be followed when attaching and tightening each bolt? Thank you for your kind consideration.

One more question, is there a way to secure the manifold gaskets to the header so they don’t slide around when re-attaching the intake manifold?

Have a look on the Oil cooler replacement thread, there are pictures of the headbolt measurements in that thread

For the manifold gasket, I just did them yesterday and they are an absolute pain.

Have a torch ready, you can view the gasket studs from the top of the manifold. I like to put screws into the side that has the gasket aligned, to keep it in place.

You can slide the gasket around at the back of the engine, whilst lifting the manifold slightly
