Broken hose under passenger engine fuse box

Cleaning the corrosion from the ECU / ECM electrical contacts today and noticed a broken hose underneath the passenger side engine fuse box. What is this hose? Is it supposed to be connected to something? Please see the attached photos.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I think it has something to do with the heating system.
Try to track the hose down here:

thank you, tim687. i don’t see where it could possibly go though: it looks like a broken hose that reached a dead end. could it be for emergency drainage if water gets in the fuse panel?

Could very well be, try to trace where the hose goes. Sometimes it makes sense if you know where the other end is
