TCU Oil Leaks?
Hey all, I used to own a 2000 CLK and I remember dealing with a problem regarding the TCU which I’m wondering if that’s an issue with the 2004 CLs.
I remember having transmission code issues and we figured out that the trans oil was leaking but it was basically wicking down the wire which connects from the trans into the TCU. The TCU was located under the passenger side footwell and when I went down into the footwell to find it, the foam supporting the footwell was soaked with trans oil.
This sound like something I should look for when looking over a CL I’m interested in buying?
Thanks!

I'm not sure where the TCU on this car lives, I assume near the transmission but this is a problem on every 722.6xx. The connector for the wiring harness just goes. It's pretty cheap to replace and it will prevent oil from getting wicked into the harness

Yes it's an issue, I actually bought my CL55 with this issue. The computer is in the engine bay top left side, it just slides out of its spot. Pretty sure every 2000s benz has the same connector that can leak.
