Driver door smells moldy after rain
Hello, I am new to C215 life and loving it so far.
One 'surprise' after buying the car is that the driver's door stinks of damp mold after rain.
The smell was clearly coming out of the door and was strongest when i put my nose above the window slot in the top of the door.
I removed the door panel expecting to find some yuckiness but everything looked ok. No smell. No gunk.
I expected to find a plastic sheet separating the inner door and window mechanism from the door panel but there was only a porous grey felt sheet.
I notice when driving that I can feel wind coming out of the door around the door switch panel in the door.
The drains in the bottom of the door are perfectly open and free, no debris apart from an old business card which I guess was stuck in the window for marketing and was in perfect condition, not wet or rotten.
So - I am puzzled. any thoughts?
