Pictures of Oil in the TCU transmission module, draining and cleaning

Our newly bought 2002 CL500 had a transmission oil leak from the connector sleeve. The same everyone reports about. But also, our oil pan/gasket had all the bolts for attaching it, but was missing one of the brackets that are pushed up by the attaching bolts to create the gasket seal. So I'm believing that created a 2nd fluid leak. In either case, here are some pics of taking apart the TCU, which was swamped with fluid from the leak. The draining and cleaning the case and the boards - for folks getting prepared to address this problem. I was a beginner - this was all part of changing the pan gasket, sleeve and conductor plate and transmission oil. We had shifter related problems before the service, and none after.
