I've had this baby for 20 years. It's my pride and joy. I left her alone for an extended period of time (6 months) without starting her up. Battery was completely drained. Got a new battery and put it in. Car doesn't respond to the key fob anymore, windows will not go down when opening the door, no electronics really work.
First thing I notice is the ODO will show the mileage, then start blinking dashes. If I put the key in the ignition, it will not lock and I can't turn it.
I've checked the key batteries, all are showing proper 3V so they are solid. I've left the key in the ignition for a few hours, still nothing. I checked all of the fuses (not relays) and they seem to be just fine. I'm at a total loss - can anyone help me figure this out?
Old battery wouldn't hold a charge - it was a few years old and sitting dormant really did a number on it. Ended up swapping it out for a new AGM battery.
I've disconnected the battery and left it off overnight, just reconnected and tried again. Still no luck. Key does not do anything when inserted into the ignition.
