Can you please help? Just bought 1986 2ltr petrol inj manual.

Great car and goes well until the car gets to about 80 degrees which I assume is working temp. At 80 deg starts off with what appears to be like a 'flat spot' at about 3000rpm. Then the longer you drive the vehicle from this point on the worse the problem gets, particularly when trying to pull off from stationary position - car misses and splutters and need to build revs up to pull off.

Let the car cool down again on she's fine.

Went into Bosch main agent yesterday - couldn't find a thing. Had a nice bill though!

The spark plugs have been replaced, but are still very black. HT leads, coil, dissy cap all checked (not replaced). Injectors checked and the cold start sensor.

Fuel pump in back seems loud and fuel gauge flickering - assume this is just a bad earth.

Car has been standing for about 4 years before I bought it.

Any ideas

Thanks for looking.
