W215 Rear Headliner Sag

Howdy all, my ‘01 Cl55 is almost fully restored, but I just have a nagging problem on my rear headliner. It’s sagging a bit, and I noticed there’s some Velcro from the last owner that fails to hold it up. What is the factory solution for getting this back in? Can anyone link me to a part # or the plastic clips that are meant to go here?

If you're talking about the fabric sagging the solution is obvious: reupholster.

Otherwise, the headliner has 2 hard velcro squares on the back that attach it to the roof. With age they come unglued from the headliner. You have to take it out, glue them back in the same spot and press it hard against the roof. I redid my headliner recently so that's the issue I noticed.

oh man that’s really helpful, I didn’t realize that was from the factory! My upholstery is fine, so I’ll just need to add some more adhesive to the Velcro on the lining side. Any suggestions for adhesive? Anything that would be similar to what was originally used?

I would scuff clean the headliner side properly, scuff it up a little then use this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/DAP-Weldwoo...-fl-oz/3005379. That usually does the trick.

My solution was infinitely more lazy and has held up fine: put the two velcros together, put a small dab of superglue on the piece that was attached to the ceiling, then push up for about 2 minutes till it readheres. If I have to take it off again, it'll either hold or pop off again, in which case it'll get another dab of superglue.
